Cairo, Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor & Red Sea stay

This 15-day tour is ideal to discover the remarkable and unmissable sites of Egypt and also relaxing on the Red Sea. We will start with the discovery of the Giza plateau and its famous Pyramids and Sphinx, followed by a visit to the Cairo Museum. We fly to Aswan for a cruise from Aswan to Luxor passing through Kom Ombo, Edfu and Esna, throughout our cruise we will not fail to visit the emblematic sites of Egypt. Before return to Cairo, we will have a relaxing short break at the Red Sea.

Detailed itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival Cairo
Arrival at Cairo International airport. Meet and assist with formalities. Transfer to your hotel.
Accommodation and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel. Then visit the plateau Guizèh. Visit the site of the pyramids: Kheops, the biggest of the three, Khephren, and Mykérinos much smaller than its two sisters, keeping at its base, its original coating. On its sides stands the impressive sphinx with the head of a man (57 m long) whose role was to defend the entrance of the tomb against the pillagers. Lunch in a typical restaurant. Then departure for the visit of the capital of the Ancient Egyptian Empire, Memphis to the south of Cairo. The city was founded by King Menes around 3000 BC and placed under the protection of the god Ptah, the patron of the Artisans. Then visit of the pyramid of Sakkara was built around -2700 for the pharaoh Djoser by the architect Imhotep.

Day 3: Cairo
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for the visit of the citadel of Saladin which is a great fortress, built between 1176 and 1183 on the heights of the current capital of Egypt, Cairo. It was built by Saladin, the founder of the Ayyubid dynasty. Lunch in town, Then we visit the famous National Museum founded in 1857 by the French Egyptologist Auguste Mariette Pasha and transferred in 1902 to the actual building.

Day 4: Cairo - Aswan
Breakfast at the hotel, departure for the museum of Egyptian civilization Lunch in a typical restaurant. Visit the Cairo Tower. Then transfer to Cairo Airport, flight to Aswan (1h30 flight).
Dinner and overnight in Aswan.
Day 5: Aswan
Breakfast at the hotel, departure for the visit of the High dam, the ancient quarries of granite and the unfinished obelisk. Then visit the temple of Philae. After the visit, return to Aswan for lunch.
(Optional) motor boat ride and discovery of a Nubian village with their custom and lifestyle.

Day 6: Aswan (This day of embarkation must be a Monday, Wednesday or Friday)
(Optional) Early morning, optional excursion to the Abu Simbel by private car. Visit to the great temple built by Ramses II. Then visit the small temple of Queen Nefertari built by her husband Ramses II, and dedicated to the goddess Hathour, goddess of love, music and beauty Transfer to the boat for check-in and boarding. Lunch first.

Day 7: Kom Ombo - Edfu
Early sailing Breakfast on board, then departure to visit Kom Ombo. This temple of the Ptolemaic dynasty, is dedicated to both gods Haroeris and Sobek. After the visit, embarkation and continue sailing to Aswan. Lunch on board.
Sailing to Edfu. Visit the Edfu temple dedicated to god Horus “god with falcon head”, where two magnificent statues in black granite guard its entry. It is certainly the best conserved temple in the country. Return on board and sailing to Luxor.

Day 8: Luxor
After breakfast, departure to visit the Karnak complex, the temple of Amon Ra whose fascination overcomes imagination. Lunch on board, later on visit the Luxor temple.

Day 9: Luxor
After breakfast, check out from boat, departure to visit the Valley of the Kings where 62 Pharaohs rest (visit 3 tombs). Then visit valley of the Queens where 75 Queens rest (visit 2 tombs). Lunch in town.

Day 10: Luxor - Gouna
After breakfast, Transfer to Gouna (around 290 km) by private car. Lunch at the hotel in Gouna.

Jour 11 - 13: Gouna

Day 14: Gouna - Hurghada - Cairo
After breakfast, transfer to Hurghada airport and flight to Cairo (1h30 flight).
Upon arrival Departure to visit Old Cairo: Coptic Museum, the Hanging Church dating from the 4th century, the Abu Serga Chruch and the Amr Mosque. Lunch in town.
We finally have a little promenade in historical bazar of Khan El Khalili.
Dinner and overnight in Cairo near airport.
Day 15: Cairo - Your destination
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International Airport.
Flight back to your destination.
